Secured order from Parkol Marine in Whitby

	Thistle Group (Marine) have secured an order with Parkol Marine in Whitby for a Thistlelift MKB13 Kinked Boom Marine Crane and a Thistle 24” Gear Driven Power Block Head for the MFV Rachel Jayne III. (June 2011)

Order Secured for Guerra Marine Crane

	Thistle Group (Marine) have secured an order for a Guerra M380.24A5 Marine Crane with power pack and radio remote control system for Fugro SAE Egypt. This is to be installed on the MV Navigator. Delivery is scheduled for June/July 2011. (May2011)

Order Secured for Guerra Knuckle Boom Marine Crane

	Thistle Group (Marine) have secured an order to supply a Guerra 75.90M2 knuckle boom marine crane for The Scottish Salmon Company in the Isle of Mull. This marine crane will be delivered to Oban for shipping across to the vessel in April 2011. (March 2011)

Winch and Crane Supply Contract for MV Sea Herald

	The Survey Vessel for Aberdeenshire Council the MV Sea Herald was recently completed at Macduff Shipyards. Thistle Group (Marine) were contracted to supply a Guerra 110.90A Knuckle Boom Crane and 3 x SR60 DInamic Winches. (March 2011)

Vessel Overhaul Contract Awarded to Thistle Group / Marine

Paddy O Sullivan, owner of POS Fishing Ltd of Castletownbere, Eire has recently purchased Peterhead based fishing vessel MFV Wanderer INS. Thistle Group (Marine) have been awarded and put in charge of all works to be completed. This vessel is to be intensively overhauled with the installation of Rope Reels, Seine Winch, Deck Leads, Hydraulics and Electronics. This work will take about a month to complete. (March 2011)

300K Crane Contract for Thistle Group / Marine

	Thistle Group (Marine) have been awarded a contract to supply three cranes for a major oil service supplier. The cranes are being built by Guerra in Spain to full specification required. The cranes will be delivered during the summer of 2011. This photo is of a very similar crane to the ones that is being built by Guerra. (February 2011)

Thistle Group (Marine) Seine Winch Build

Thistle Group (Marine) with specialist support from its two Group divisions, undertake the design, manufacture, service and repair of equipment for the fishing, marine and oil and gas industry. Thistle Group (Marine) were recently contracted to build a pair of seine winches at its machine shop. The pair of winches were built, inspected, tested and installed on-board a vessel in Peterhead.(February 2011)

Thistle Group (Marine) gain new customer Bibby Offshore

The Christmas period is normally a quiet time of year where most companies see a down turn in business, but Thistle Group (Marine) this year have managed to gain a new customer, " Bibby Offshore"; and spent the week before Christmas working on one of their supply vessels. This was a huge boost for Thistle Group (Marine) and more work is now being scheduled for 2011. MFV Budding Rose - currently building a set of Thistle Split Trawl Winches, rated at 15 tonne core pull each, this involves extensive alterations to the deck of the vessel. This work will be completed by end of January. (December 2011)

Government Contract Win for Thistle Group (Marine)

Thistle Group (Marine) have been awarded a Government contract for the Hydraulic Maintenance, Repair and Upkeep of 3 Protection Vessels for the Fisheries Division of the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development for Northern Ireland. The Government contract will involve the maintenance of all hydraulic equipment to a safe, seaworthy and operational state at all times, consisting of regular servicing at 4 to 6 month intervals with the availability of a 24 hour call out service.
